Since The Distillers formed in 1998, these awesome punk rocked bands, often compared to the Sex Pistols, have released three studio albums, including the acclaimed, ‘Coral Fang.’
However, since the album’s 2003 release, The Distillers suffered from losing bassist Ryan Sinn and drummer Andy Granelli.
Spinnerette is an American band consisting of Brody Dalle, Tony Bevilacqua (both former members of The Distillers), Jack Irons (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Eleven) and Alain Johannes (Queens of the Stone Age, Eleven). After Dalle announced the emergence of the band in March 2007, they continued on with Sire Records.
Tattoos and Babies?
Brody Dale has also been noted as having one of the greatest tattoos in music. Tattoos is not the only thing that this woman has ventured into, Eagles of Death Metal singer and close personal friend of Joshua Homme and Brody Dale, Jesse Hughes, told MTV in September of 2005:
“They are honestly the most beautiful couple you could ever see…Joshua and Brody are expecting their first little baby girl. And Brody’s a glowing, beautiful bride-to-be with child. They’re going to be married. They call each other ‘momma’ and ‘daddy.’ Brody is a beautiful, expecting woman who is also the queen of rock and roll, in my opinion. She’s almost five months pregnant. Hughes, with excitement even wrote a song for the pair, entitled “The Ballad of Queen B and Baby Duck,” which is included on the new Eagles of Death Metal Album, ‘Death By Sexy,’ which came out in January of 2006.
Yes, that’s right, ‘Baby Duck’ refers to Homme. It’s his nickname – how cute!
Hughes, who appears to have had a touch of verbal diarrhea when interviewed, continued: “It’s a fairy tale, love-charm song. Their relationship was hard to be in for those two, considering their public personas and where it came from and the circumstances through which she left her husband,”
“Joshua and Brody went out of their way to do everything right. There was no stealing of any girlfriend. It was very sweet. When people want to have children,
when they want to start a family, that’s kind of an amazing thing in this world today — when a pregnancy isn’t accidental and they really form that bond, it’s a beautiful thing.”
Josh Homme of Queens of the Stone Age and Brody Dalle of the Distillers, are known as the most rockin’ couple since Sid and Nancy, and became proud parents of a baby girl. Camille Homme was born Jan. 17, 2006 and weighed in at a robust 6 lbs., 15 oz.
